The Twelve Brews Of Christmas: Day Four
Avery Brewing Co.'s Ellie's Brown Ale This beautiful, deep russet brew has the sweet and somewhat nutty character of Adam Avery's late (1992-2002) Chocolate Lab, for which it is named. Crystal and chocolate malts give this beer a brown sugar maltiness with hints of vanilla and nuts, while subtle hopping gives it an overall drinkability that's second to none, just like Ellie! |

if i promise to pray that you don't go to hell, will you burn me the new webb when y'all get it?? i'll take full responsibility for our trespasses. . . .i want music!
We've already got it. Email me and we'll negotiate my eternal damnation.
ummmm...
did the description there just say that it tastes like a dog? and put that in context with nuts?
after watching cattle-humping on Christmas day ('cuz, really, what else is there to do in Oklahoma?), i really did not want to hear that (and hence be reminded of cattle-humping).
jasdye,
(It's a joke from Nicole's blog.)
It is kinda disturbing to see a dog on the label at all. Maybe there's something in the water in Colorado. (Insert your own Focus on the Family joke here)
i see...
so, is there a comparison to my last reply and your wifey's porn-star-stand-in posterior? 'cuz if there is, i'm not making it.
(no, actually, in my last reply, i wasn't refering to the exchange between you and willis, just the post itself. you know, simple stuff like beer and dog's nuts.)
